Remembering CLAW

by Twinkles

Today I want to mew with you about my memories of CLAW. In this particular case, I wasn't actually in CLAW, so I can't remember anything, but my siblings were all CLAW members and they had lots of memories to relate to me about their time there. Most notably, Misty, SnowPuff, Keedie, and Tang, now at the rainbow bridge, had many wonderful experiences at CLAW.

They graduated with honors from the CLAW University. They earned many fine diplomas from there. They learned all about how to use Paint Shop Pro and Photo Impact at CLAW, which lead to some of the most wonderful graphics they had made for our own web site, including making the rooms for Keedie's very own mansion. Our dear friend, Troubie, taught her all about how to make the rooms themselves, the walls. It was all very enlightening. But it wasn't just about schooling. They had many fun and happy times going to CLAW parties and celebrations, and going on CLAW hunts, where they hunted through the halls of CLAW to find huntees and win awards for what they had found. They brought home a lot of wonderful awards as well as diplomas.

They earned Masters degrees in graphics, too, and their doctorates. They also had wonderful times participating in the various groups and guilds that CLAW had to offer, such as Cats Who Live With Dogs, Cats In Space, etc. Misty was very active in the CLAW Postcard Committee as well, making lovely postcards for others to send to their friends on special occasions. All in all, CLAW was a happy and wonderful place to be and left us with many happy memories of good times with all the good friends we made there. We were very sad and sorry to see it go.

The passing of Queen Midnight was truly the end of an era, a wonderful era that will never come again. Hold CLAW dear in your hearts, dear readers. It's one of the bright spots in all of our lives. I'm only sorry, that I, personally, was not able to be there, because I arrived in the family too late to belong to many things. I did join Fur and Fang later, though, and had a lot of fun there. I'm sure it was much like CLAW in many ways. And I loved it! Many Purrs and Happy Holidays, Twinkles
