Holiday’s 2009

I find it interesting that hoomans have caught on to something we cats have known about and are experts in. I only learned about it when I was watching TV with my hooman. Can you guess what it was? It was about layaway for the holidays. There are even plans for it. Now how complicated do hoomans have to make things?

Seriously, we never had to plan, we never even had to discuss it. Then again, I wonder if hoomans can even begin to layaway like we do… will they be able to layaway on a scratching box, a shelf, a refrigerator, a piece of paper, an A/C, the back of a sofa or arm chair arm? We can try and teach them…I suppose. We can draw up some plans or something… like getting up on a windowsill and looking outside at birdies and then deciding to snooze. That might work. Might have to draw up some plans of a larger windowsill. I think we might be able to do that, and then teach them the fine art of just letting a snooze overcome you and not fighting it. I think we might find a use for this planning of layaways after all. I’m a little stumped about how we can get our hoomans to manage this. I favor cat scratcher boxes and wonder how hoomans are gonna manage something like that. See I manage that quite readily:

Or this little neat trick like Indy lying down. He demonstrates a couple of ways to lie on a computer monitor:

Why it took the holidays to create this urge in hoomans is beyond me. Wonder if soon they’ll decide to use litter boxes and bathe like we do?
