Our Pictures and a Visit

by April
Many purrs every kitty. This year our cousin Baby Kitty came to visit
at the same time we had our pictures taken, but Meowmie did not take
Cousin to the photographer.
First our picture adventure. It was a Saturday morning and Meowmie was
up early doing house chores, then it was time to go. Casey and Pumpkin
were easy to get into the carriers. Then Sam goes in his own carrier,
his carrier looks like a cooler. Sam was showing Meowmie he had 8 legs
instead of the normal 4. Then Meowmie came after me! I was a good girl
and went in the carrier well. Pippin was not so happy about going and
lead Meowmie on a hide and seek chase up and down stairs. Finally Meowmie
got Pippin. Casey yowled as Meowmie was about to open the door. Sh-h-h
says Meowmie. Casey was good and was quiet. The girls carrier went in
first, then the boys, then Sam came with Meowmie.
On the car ride Casey was yowling and Pippin yowled in his deep voice.
At the photographer's, Meowmie got us out one at a time. First Casey,
he yowled and would not sit or lay on the table. Mew, we were supposed
to sit on a table! Casey finally let the photographer take his picture.
Next was Pippin, he licked Meowmie's fingers. Pippin was a stubborn
5 year old and would not follow the red laser light. He did follow some
bubbles thou! Boys! Sam was a good boy, but he did hiss at the photographer
at first, then he liked him.
Then the girls turn. Of course Pumpkin and I were very
good girls, and sat on the table with no help from Meowmie. Then it
was Meowmie's turn. We are all in the picture this year. Our reward
was to wander around the studio. Sam had lots of fun sniffing everything.
Then it was time to go. Oh no! Meowmie could not find April or Pippin.
We were hiding in a rolled up piece of rug. It was fun squeezing in
there. Of course we were a little dizzy coming out. We had a great time
and when we came home we were all furry tired.
Our cousin came to visit and most of the time he was good. However he
did mew at 11:30 to 1 or 2 in the morning, which made Meowmie furry
tired. Cousin looks like Casey, and at first Cousin was hissing at all
of us. Meowmie said to be patient with him, and soon he stopped hissing.
Poor Sam could not understand why Casey (Sam thought Cousin was Casey
at first) was hissing at him. By the end of the visit all the boys and
girls were getting along well with each other. One time Sam chased Cousin
up the stairs, then Cousin chased Sam down the stairs in front of Pumpkin.
Sam ran by Pumpkin, who hissed at Cousin for chasing Sam.
Love and purrs April.
