Spring
by Twinkles Spring is the time of year I always look forward to. The trees start to grow new leaves, the grass comes up, and the flowers start to bloom. You can count on the crocuses to come up even through snow in the yard.
I'm especially looking forward to it this year because we've had such a bad winter with a lot of snow and frigid temperatures. It will be wonderful to see the days getting longer and warmer. I welcome, also, the return of the birds. I love watching them from my window and pretending I'm hunting them down. Even though I can't actually go outside and hunt them, it's still fun to dream about it.
Every year meowmie plants her pansies in our garden. She just loves their pretty little faces. They do look like they have faces. And as they bloom, we welcome the colors and joy they bring to our yard. The violas, especially, which are also referred to as "Johnny jump-ups," come back every year without the need to replant them. They are awesome! They cover the yard in a blanket of pretty colored blossoms.
Spring is a time of renewal, when the earth is reborn in all of it's beautiful glory and spendor. I love spring. Purrs, Twinkles
